Bio — Yet another curious child growing up, wanting to know how things worked. That curiosity manifested as disassemble any electronics I get, to see its working(mostly toys). Most of the time electronics would have been beyond reassembly. Understandably parents weren’t too happy, with my destructive curiosity.
I got my first Windows 98 PC when I was 15. PC was a luxury for most middle-class households in India back then. Convinced my parents to buy one was a challenge. Computer gave a steady flow of curiosity with added 56kbps dial-up gave answers to those curiosities.
Then soon after came to know that, windows is not the only Operating System out there, there is something called Linux. But no known source to get the installation media back then. Downloading is not an option (remember 56kbps! Dial-up). So started scouring the Kochi city to find an installation media. After few weeks of searching found one at a book store, Red Hat Linux (4 CDS) which accompanied a book called Linux toys. This was way before fedora’s or Ubuntu’s. This changed everything and this is why I am in this field of work.
Pure love for OSS and its philosophy
